Seems to me we are getting more and more into the "talk theory" again.
XML is real and is being used in a variety of different apps regardless of who controls what. We started with XML/EDI using EDIFACT as a base and have progressed to using AECMA S2000M as the base. This is intended for all aspects of Order, delivery, invoicing and order amendments. Currently looking at interface between main company and vendor base but have thoughts on the larger environment of Main company to main company and of course customer. We are looking at two examples of use and debating whether to produce an XML based version of the S2000M in addition to the original and EDIFACT versions. Always open to ideas and of course comment good or bad. Not sure which schema perhaps we may develop our own who knows.
