Some would argue that once you have all this in XSLT then the
programmers are happy because noone else can understand
what is going on!

James Clark (who chaired the XSL WG) put it very well at XML 2002
in his keynote speech - that data-binding is not a good area to attempt
to develop a single standard - such as XSLT - since that stifles 
innovation and leads to people attempting to use technology
for purposes for which it is ill suited and not designed.

For databinding it very much depends on your specific requirements
and so determining the business requirements is the first step,
then followed by reviewing those solutions that most closely
match those needs.
