This is exactly the big advantage point of XML/XSLT. There are MANY vendors use the same/very similar technology. At the traditional EDI area there are also many companies and software but each of them work totally different. So it's means, that if someone learn to use one system he not really can use another one. And also there are no easy ways to take conversions from on software tool to another one. You have to implement it from the start again. At the XML/XSLT software area it's different. The user learn one technology and can use it with different software modules and also can easy change the software vendor later if he not satisfied with them because it's no problem to use anyway his still ready conversions!
