I saw this today, and thought I would try it. We have the Professional
version, but we don't use the FOP stuff, so I went into the Options |
Add-ons dlg and told it to delete the three or so FOP add-ons. Now when I
start up XXE, I get a Warning msg box with the header "Errors found in
plug-ings", and three msgs of the form
com.xmlmind.xmleditext.fop1_foprocessor.FOP
cannot create XSL-FO processor plug-in
"com.xmlmind.xmleditext.fop1_foprocessor.FOP":
com.xmlmind.xmleditext.fop1_foprocessor.FOP.setPreferences(Lcom/xmlmind/util/preferences;)V
There's more to the msg, but it runs off the edge of the Warning box
(which can't be stretched or scrolled or copied on to the clipboard). The
other two "Errors" are similar, but have to do with .XEP and .XFC instead
of .FOP.
Given that we don't use FOP etc., I'd just as soon disable these plugins;
but I don't want to get a warning box every time I start XXE. Is there
something I can turn off to prevent these warnings? I don't see anything
obvious in the XXE Help or Options menus.
(Worse, when I try to re-install the plugins that I just uninstalled, they
don't show up on the list. Maybe that's because I still have XXE 4.4; our
IT staff hasn't upgraded my computer yet...)
