XXE is a nice DocBook editor. I switched from 2.6 to 2.11 and I found many improvements, but there are still some features that I miss:
* a lower priced student edition. Students like me cannot efford current XXE prices. * the default save dir should be $HOME and not $INSTALLDIR * XXE should get the DPI value from X11/xdpyinfo * the search box in the Edit tab should search for tags that contains the searched term, not just for tags that start with the search term. A search for "table" should report "table" as the first result and "informaltable" as the second result. * indentation with the tab character * auto open the tree view * a description of each tag (this has already been requested) * desc + search = a very pleasant way to discover DocBook or avoid to pick up the ref book if you forgot the difference between simplelist and itemlist.
