XXE is absolutely not tested using JREs other than Sun's and Apple's. We really recommend to switch to latest Sun JRE (1.5.0_04). If you find XXE ugly using this JRE, then use Options|Options, General Tab to switch to the Metal Look and Feel. The emulated GTK look and feel, chosen by default by JRE 1.5, makes XXE both incredibly ugly and hard to use (this problem has been fixed in V3).
