We certainly do not promote the use of the tree view and the styled view together. See http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/why_choose_xxe.html . But, de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum... Major GUI enhancements are planned for XXE V3.0. You'll probably like them. The problem is that XXE V3.0 is not expected before several months.
