Altered the xxe script to be:

java /opt/jdk1.6.0_06/bin/java $mem $opt \

Then ran xxe, but this gives another problem!!!

Sorry, I've no other idea. May be your .bin has been corrupted during
the download.

I use Sun's ".bin" installers for years on all my Linux boxes and have
no problem at all.

I don't use x64 distributions. I install Java on /opt as root, not as
hussein. And, I don't remember why, I always run

./jdk-XXX.bin -localinstall
