You are right of course. The problem is that being a small company, we simply don't have the resources to give our products the level of polishing you describe. For us, suffice for a feature to be useful, usable and reliable in order to be released. If, a few months after the initial release, we find that a feature generates a lot of support, then it becomes time for us to polish it a little bit. The add-on manager does not generate a lot of support. (We are mainly worried by the fact that corporate users seem not to be able to authenticate with their proxy servers when they attempt to download and install add-ons.) --- PS: Possible scenario: the user downloads and installs an add-on which will refuse to work in Personal Edition. She/he gets an evaluation key using this form http://www.xmlmind.com:8080/eval_key/generate_key and thus, immediately transforms her/his Personal Edition to an Evaluation Edition. Doing this, at least, allows this user to evaluate the installed add-on.
