we do have one of those already, being used in oXygen. I imagine

yes, I can quite see that this is all not trivial. But I do seriously think
that the scale of the job is not really in relation to the size of the TEI,
except for the CSS and XSL. If you added support for (eg) the W3C xml markup
for their documents (which is much much smaller), most of the work
would be the same.

anyway,  I will try to improve my end in case its ever needed.
