I forgot to ask you if you have installed the MathML add-on. This add-on allows to edit MathML equations contained in your DocBook 5 documents (among other things). Anyway, I've create two add-ons for you, one for plain DocBook 5 and the other for DocBook5+MathML. You must install only *one* of these two add-ons.
