We failed to reproduce the problem you describe using an environment
very close to yours:

* XXE Pro 5.1.1,

* Private Java runtime 1.6.0_30 found in xxe-pro-5_1_1-setup.exe,

* Vista Home Premium 6.0.6002 SP2 Build 6002 64-bit,

* A generic USB mouse (i.e. no driver other than the generic USB mouse one).

We have reviewed the code of XXE in order to guess how this could
happen. We have found nothing at all because there is no XMLmind code
which ``intercepts'' the mouse wheel events. In fact, it's the standard
Java scrollbars which do this, so in principle, XXE's document view
should react exactly like say, the scrollable pane in the "Change
Document Conversion Parameters" dialog box.

We are really sorry but we don't see how we could help you.
