I just found my driver not building, and tracked it down to a "missing" xorg-macros.pc file, (installed in $(prefix)/share/pkgconfig rather than $(prefix)/lib/pkgconfig). I assumed that *must* have been a mistake and changed it, but now I see it was intentional. Can someone explain to me the intent here? So far I'm not seeing much more than "make everyone update their build environment to add $(prefix)/share/pkgconfig to PKG_CONFIG_PATH). Can someone tell me how this is actually helpful? -Carl
