To be honest though, I'd argue that the sorts of people who use the
middle button are the sorts of people who wouldn't be particularly
bothered by toggling a preference to do it, and 'enable middle button
emulation' is a more obvious checkbox than 'make input latency not
shit'.

That being said, similar to the Ctrl-Alt-Backspace thing, I expect a
mailbox of furious outrage if this does actually go through.
