The early EeePCs (at least) use a rocker button, with which it is very
hard even to do a simultaneous R+L click.  Mac laptops also still have
single-button pads, with a gesture for "context menu" clicks.

Most physical mice, however, do indeed have a third button, from
pressing the scroll wheel down.
