I tried your LD_PRELOAD trick with libgnomecanvas 2.20.1, and I have the
same bug.

I don't think so -- Gimp, and Inkscape draw perfectly in rotated mode.

Checked. Looks like xournal takes as much CPU rotated as unrotated.

I'm really surprised at this -- it doesn't seem to be a broader WACOM/X
issue, since Gimp and Inkscape do fine. Just in case you're interested,
here's the rest of my user-space

Also, I have a (serial) tablet PC. Not USB.
