Andreas et. al,
Any ideas on what to do here?
I just spend a number of hours getting my new codes to link properly against
poppler from git. Indeed we cannot compile/link xournal against the latest
git checkout from git straightaway.
The problem is definitely ours. We should not be using internal poppler
functionality. I can't imagine that the functionality required does not
exist in the glib frontend already, evince needs to load objects into the
reader...
someone more familiar with both codebases should ask in #evince or #poppler
(or on the appropriate mailing lists).
Further, on fedora (as I think it's been discussed here), we will not be
able to include the relevant codes in the xournal packages, things should
compile properly against the poppler-* packages already in the fedora repos.
My codes are sitting on github/ryanlewis, I'll continue cleaning, and if it
makes sense to use my modifications, cool, lets do it.
