It might be worth having a read over the port kit readme.
But first you could try backing up and removing /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Then try kdmconfig and dtlogin. If you need to pass a few
configuration options to the driver then make a new XF86Config file
in /etc/X11/ which contains only the graphic device section, and only
the options you need to set. The kit doesn't autodetect cards that
need XFree86 drivers, and it doesn't set any options other than the
defaults for each driver.
It looks like you might still have the full XF86Config file in
/etc/X11/ and the port kit is getting confused by an old 'Section
"Device"' entry (a framebuffer-based card?).
