Ahh yes, I read too quickly. I thought you said "Compaq"... the bus
converter makes more sense now.

Looking at your logs again... they don't overlap even in the XFree
output. It is difficult text to parse and I misread it. They are
close but this isn't a problem.

I looked into the pci scanning code and looked at the logs from some
other i815's. They all have Bus -1 output for the ISA bridge. It
probably isn't causing any problems, and may just be the result of
having an ISA bridge but not using it for anything.

It does seem that ScreenInit() is getting called twice on your
system, you could try and track that down and find out why.

Does XFree work when the brooktree card is plugged in, but the v4l
module is NOT loaded in the XF86Config?
