Mike - I have not forgotten about you, I just did not have a chance to
look at the logs you sent me thoroughly enough. I have not heard from ATI
about spreading the docs around either - they seem really busy.. On the
positive side they found TDA9886TS datasheet for me so TV-in support for
8500DV has moved forward a notch further. I have not idea why it is so
hard to get this datasheet from Philips (I even tried to call local
representative who proclaimed the chip discontinued..).
