This indicates you are running an application that depends on the relatively
new render extension.

The solution is to upgrade you X server (say to 4.1 or 4.2).

Subject: [Xpert]Xlib: extension
-----
Recently, I have been receiving the following message when trying
to open some programs in X:

Xlib: extension "RENDER" missing on display "[IP]:0.0".

How can the problem be solved? I changed $DISPLAY from [IP]:0.0 to
[IP]:0.
