If you are using vesafb, this depends on your graphics card. Imho it
is highly unlikely that it offers it at all.
However, this question is *not at all* related to X11, so you better
ask in a *Linux* support group.
You may also consider to tell us which graphics card you are using, so
that we could propose alternative solutions.
