Yes I did this on the weekend (RH7.2 and errata (Pretty poor form that the same errata exists for both 7.1 and 7.2 IMHP :-)) ). Works like a dream ! Makes you realise how far the distros have come in the past 5 years. Nice to have sound too. (playing an S Club 7 CD as I type this :-) ). Mike's 4.2 RPMS weren't there when I last checked .... Nope, still not there yet ... hmmm I notice some postgresql 7.2-5 rpms thoug so I might nick those :-)). REGADING THE KEYBOARD REPEAT : I noticed in RH7.2 that Kde allows you to turn bouncekeys on from the control panel in Personalisation/Accessibility. I haven't loaded Gnome this time, thought I'd try kde with this machine (actually I use twm most of the time ... being a die hard minimalist :-) ). If you use Kde it's in the Control Centre in Pesonalisation/Accessabiity. You can turn on bouncekeys and set the delay (I use 25ms). NOTE: There may be some issue with timeout ... ie. the accessx interface turns itself on for a specified time. I couldn't see a control to disable the timeout so you may have trouble still in which case you may still need to use ax. I don't know how to set this in other window managers at this stage so I still use accessx to set it and as I said I'm not sure about Gnome, but I would expect Gnome to have an Accesssibility GUI if Kde does. > - there is a "conflict of opinion" about the Tecra's disk geometry between RH's disk >partitioning and/or installation routine and Partition Magic v7. Thanks. > In any case, that issue is only relevant if you are a freak and run 5 different OSs >on your laptop, *AND* PM7 is able to clear up the mess (left behind by RH install >routine ;) so it's not deadly... hee, hee. I only run two on my laptop. But I do run 4 on my desktop. I better resist the urge to load another :-)) Thanks for all the fedback. I contemplated trying 7.2 when I was trying to get 7.2 running. On hind site it's a pity I didn't :-) regards, WIlson _______________________________________________ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
