Hya,
Great now I found the modules I can upgrade to XFree86 4.2.0.
Ok I downloaded the source and compiled all ok, I used the command "make
-f Makefile.linux".
Renamed the old module in
"/lib/modules/2.4.18-0.22custom/kernel/drivers/char/drm/tdfx.o", then
copied the new tdfx.o and tdfx_drv.o to that dir.
Ok, now I loaded the module via "modprobe", great it loads.
Ok now to upgrade XFree86 4.1 -> 4.2, via RedHat Rawhide rpms.
I get...
error: failed dependencies:
kernel-drm = 4.2.0 is needed by XFree86-4.2.0-6.62
oh far out....
Ok I have rebuilt my kernel to 2.4.18.
Obviuosly I'm doing something wrong or just not doing something.
Could you point me in the right direction please or send me a README.
Thanks
