Well its like the Redhat guy said he's disabled the DRI for desktop resolutions above  
1024x768 so you might want to download and compile XFree86's official source for 4.2.0 
because I have done a bit of weekend testing and Quake was fragging all through the 
night with it at 1280x1024 (@20fps) with a desktop resolution of 1280x1024 so Redhat 
must have broken their setup with one of their patches. I'll continue testing through 
the week with Wolfenstein.
