I'm having a couple of problems with a Radeon 8500.

Dual head:
With 4.2.0 and CVS, Screen 0 is always set to the DVI and Screen 1 is always
set to the CRT no matter what I try in the XF86Config-4 file. This causes my
15" to try to display 1600x1200 and my 19" to display 800x600 unless I bow to
the restriction in the config file. Is there any way to force Screen 0 to the
CRT? I've tried the CRTScreen option, fwiw.

Xv:
I'm unable to get Xv applications to work properly with my Radeon 8500. I've
tried XFree86 4.2.0 and CVS with the both the radeon and ati drivers, and with
4.1.0 with the firegl drivers. xvinfo reports that 4.2.0 and CVS have Xv
support, but applications have trouble with it. xine and mplayer display a
black box with a blue band down the left side. I thought this might be related
to dual-head issues, but the same thing happens with a one monitor (CRT or DVI)
configuration. How can I get Xv to work?

My experiences are similar to this person's:

except he was able to get Xv to work on his primary (DVI) display.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time,
Ryan
