Hi,

I've been having some strange troubles with Xv on my MGA G200 card.
Specifically, I get black flickery vertical lines down the right hand
side of the xv image whenever playing larger video files.

Playing a large (720x480) MPEG file with mplayer:

VIDEO:  MPEG2  720x480  (aspect 2)  29.97 fps  7500.0 kbps
...
VDec: vo config request - 720 x 480 (preferred csp: Planar YV12)
Movie-Aspect is 1.33:1 - prescaling to correct movie aspect.
VO: [xv] 720x480 => 720x540 Planar YV12  [fs]

will show this funny black line symptom. Note that the black lines are
still there if the movie is paused, and are still flickering/moving.
(It's actually present when I first load xine and it puts up the xine
logo in the display window...)

Playing a smaller (352x240) movie:

VIDEO:  MPEG1  352x240  (aspect 12)  29.97 fps  1437.5 kbps
...
VDec: vo config request - 352 x 240 (preferred csp: Planar YV12)
Movie-Aspect is 1.33:1 - prescaling to correct movie aspect.
VO: [sdl] 352x240 => 352x264 Planar YV12  [fs]

gives no problem at all.

The problem also disappears if I run mplayer using the x11 (shm)
output, it's just that my computer is too slow to play dvds...

Has anyone else had this problem with the G200? I'm wondering if
it's the driver or if my hardware is flaky. Here's my pci entry:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Graphics, Inc. MGA G200 AGP
(rev 03)

Thanks,
Gary.
