Just wanted to add my 2 cents here - I've been experiencing this /exact/
problem too, and I have a Rev 01 G200..

Sample pic at http://gdh.ca/~gdh/pics/xvcorrupt.jpg

However, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bandwidth issue, or bus
contention... since I have .. um.. quite a few PCI cards:

lindesk:~# lspci
00:09.0 Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3c595 100BaseTX [Vortex]
00:0b.0 Unknown mass storage controller: Promise Technology, Inc. 20268 (rev
01)
00:0d.0 SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7881U
00:0f.0 Multimedia controller: Sigma Designs, Inc. REALmagic Hollywood Plus
DVD Decoder (rev 02)
00:11.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7146 (rev 01)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Graphics, Inc. MGA G200 AGP (rev 01)

The 'SAA7146' is a Nova-T digital TV receiver card...

I'm using Debian 3.0 with XFree86 4.1... I've rolled my own kernel and am
using the mga driver in X (as opposed to the vesafb one), although I'm
absolutely certain the problem was there even before I did my own kernel...

Not sure what help I can be, but at least the revision 01 cards are also
vunerable....

Cheers,
Gavin.
