Yeah, but on X you do have two clipboards and currently xrdp/X11rdp
only sets/listens to one of them, if I understand correctly. I use
rdesktop/freerdp to remote control other Linux machines with
xrdp/X11rdp and frequently exchange clipboard data between the
sessions.

I've tried autocutsel and parcellit with limited success. Possibly
because of the problems Gustavo has identified  with accented
characters (although it did work when I tried it).

I can only speak for myself, but if it isn't unreasonably much work to
implement I would appreciate if the cut & paste functionality in
xrdp/X11rdp was extended to support both clipboards available in X. At
the moment I'm  mainly using X2Go instead of xrdp/X11rdp because of
the clipboard issues.

I've found this document that describes the recommended functionality
of the available clipboards:
