Jay, do you think cleaning out whatever PulseAudio package I've had for a month, downloading the possible latest, and doing the temporary manual build process again should clear things up? I'm using PulseAudio 4.0 On 0.8.0 sound has been pretty much working fine except with some other issues I've seen, but with 0.9.0 Devel it's been a bit more difficult to get it to play nice.
