Hello fellow xstitchers,
I was just curious how all of you keep track of where you are in the
pattern you are working. I usually go to my local copy place and enlarge
the pattern, because the old eyes just ain't what they used to be. I use a
highlighter to mark off the stitches I have actually worked on the copy of
the pattern and when there is just a few sitiches of this color and that
color, I will mark my fabric lightly with a fine pencil. Of course, I only
mark one color at a time or I get confused, which isn't difficult at times.
I find that this method also helps, especially if I am away from a project
for a while. The other issue is that I always have several things going at
the same time. I don't have to spend precious stitching time trying to
figure out where I am and less time is spent ripping out the work. I hope
this makes sense to all of you and am anxious to hear what the rest of you
have to say.
Have to get going. I really enjoy this list and want to get my floss
ready to go out for the Floss Birthday Club. Thanks for all of the generous
information.
     Cilla
