I was pregnant with my first son, almost 15 years ago, when I went to a
neighbors house and she was stitching. I was just enthralled! She was
stitching an elephant that she had charted herself from a picture. So I
went out and bought a kit to do for my son and it still hangs in his
room. When I was younger, I did do a little bit of crewel work and
still have those pieces around somewhere. I crochet also and started
that when I first got married, almost 20 years ago. I have been
stitching and crocheting ever since.
