Cindy,
Like I said before, I framed this piece twice because I wasn't satisfied with
the first one. I used an oval solid oak frame. For mats, I used a light
green marbleized mat as my outer mat. It matches the light green color in the
clam shell in the bottom right corner of the piece. I also used a cream
colored mat for the inner mat. There is about a 1/4 inch showing of this mat.
I believe the green mat is about 2 inches wide. I had the mats cut so there
is a 1/4 inch of material showing in between the mats and the stitching. On
the cover of the graph they have the mats right up against the stitching, but
this cuts out some of the stitching because the oval is not even. I love the
way I have framed my piece and everyone comments on it. Oh, I had it framed
at Deck the Walls. I stretched the piece myself onto a foam core mounting
board and then took it to be framed. Usually I frame my pieces my self, but I
choose to have this one done by someone else. Hope this helps.

Keep Stitching,
Tara
