Gee, I started when I was about 5 or 6...my mom stitched all the time, made
my grad dress and wedding dress with no pattern, knitted all my sweaters
for me, just show her a picture, and I got it...:) She tried to teach me
to knit, and all my life managed to knit one sweater that turned out to big
for me, so gave it to my girlfriend...My first stitching was a little tiny
kitten on a pillow case, my own pillow case...:) Then we would get
patterns from Denmark, my relations would send them, at the time never
found much we liked pattern wise in Canada...so stitched on and off all my
life really...I would put it down for a couple years or so here and there,
worked large pieces all the time mostly Eva Rosenstandt, was working on a
large piece and had 3 brain anuerysms, and told the doc, sorry, I ain't
going out, got this pic to finish and a family to raise...:) I won..so I
finished it, then got a computer with internet, hit rctn and have stitched
like a mad dog now ever since...and have now become a model stitcher...
I love this thread too, pardon the pun, since on #stitch that is my name...LOL
