Wow, all these great stories, and I don't remember how I got started - guess I just don't remember ever *not* stitching! I'm pretty sure that my maternal grandma taught me to do embroidery since she also taught me how to knit and crochet. I kept asking her to teach me to tat but she always said that she forgot - did get a couple of shuttles from her and taught myself the basics, but a friend told me that I do it "retarded", so never kept up with it. I remember being in Jr. High sewing class. Everyone had to demonstrate some skill. When the girl who was doing embroidery got to the french knot she couldn't make it come out right, so I showed them how to do it. Now that I'm working part time in LNS I've started teaching people to stitch for real :) Happy Stitching Kelly A woman without freckles is like a night without stars _______________________________________________________________ Sponsored by Beakers Graphic Designs http://www.probe.net/~beakers/ecsp.htm The Xstitch Home page at http://www.probe.net/~beakers/xshome.htm Mary Joseph - XStitch List Moderator - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Monica Sudds - XStitch List Administrator - [EMAIL PROTECTED] =============================================================== To unsubscribe TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message: unsubscribe XStitch
