Hi again,

Had a wonderful day at the LNS yesterday. I was supposed to going to stitch
with my buddies on a new project we are starting. It's a historical sampler
from Fine Lines magazine. It is in four parts and looks as if it will take
awhile to complete. Anyway, since there wasn't any school yesterday, I
figured I would just stop by for a few and pick up my fabric and silks and
start at home later. But when I got there, with 3 boys in tow, they
discovered that there were more boys to play with and we ended up spending the
whole day there. All of us moms stitching and all of the boys playing
football outside. We've decided that this will be a good way to spend these
days. The owner of the machine embroidery shop next door, was so thankful
that I showed up with my kids, because her boys spend the day with her there
any time school is out. We have even begun plans for the summer. I've
promised her to take the boys swimming with me some this summer to give her a
break at work.

Talk about having the best of both worlds. I can now go stitch with my
friends and not have to worry about the boys being bored and wanting to go
home. When we left the house, my oldest son said "please, don't stay there
very long". On the way home, he was asking "when do we get to go back?".

Another surprise that just made my day, was that when I got there, Gracie
(framer) let me know that my frame (for EB's Dreams) had come in and she would
have it for me the next time I was in. But since I ended up staying for the
day, she was sweet enough to go upstairs and finish it for me then. I am so
amazed with the results. I've just about decided to give this one to my
niece (and best friend). She has just seperated from her husband of 11 years,
who has destroyed her self-esteem. Dreams verse says" Cherish yesterday,
Dream tomorrow, Live today". I keep thinking that this is just so appropriate
for her right now. She needs to cherish the good times from the past (and
start getting past the bad times), keep dreaming of a better life for
tomorrow, and just live each day one at a time right now. If I do give it to
her, I will need to borrow it back this summer, to enter into competition at
the state fair. I really don't think she'll mind.
