Note  that you  don't need  autoconf  to run  the generated  configure
script. Only  a posix  shell is  needed, and even  under MS  Win, many
Emacs users have one. (cygwin, MS SFU, unxutils, ...) 

So, many people  will be able to take advantage of  it, and the others
will still be able to use xtla. 


By the way, do someone have access to a windows machine with Emacs and
tla  installed ?  It would  be nice  to test  xtla under  windows. I'm
afraid some portions of code  will be problematic ("/tmp" hardcoded in
some  places,  slash  in  filenames,  "sh  -c"  to  run  processes  --
mandatory to split stdout and stderr ...).
