Hello,
the directory "partial" does not exist. The permissions on the mother
directory are "root", "root". But the Ubuntu Logitec installer created
the directory no problems and it now exists although it is empty?

Since my French is terrible, it looks like a "failed to fetch" error.
Does the file exist on the mirror? (looks like it to me)
Is the mirror reachable? (looks like it to me)
How are the permissions on /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/ on your
machine? Does that directory exist?
I usually use apt instead of aptitude.

Could it be a 64 bit problem? I am on 16.04 i386 and use both
synaptic
and apt-get with out problems. I've never tried 64 bit as I have a
'test' older machine which I use if I have trouble - so I am
too lazy
to burn a DVD for both. So many places I have read that there is
little difference between the two so I've not bothered testing x64
out.
