I am looking for a image viewer which fits my needs:
I need at least:
- fullscreen mode
- rotate, next and preview image with SIMPLE keys, not
Ctrl-Alt-Super-Something
- cropping and saving
- correct locale support (I have ISO-8859-15, not UTF-8)
So far, the only program I found is xv, but xv development has stopped
1994 :-(
And xv is not free software.
I use xli for this. Quote from "man xli":

Type space, 'n' or 'f' to move to the next image in the list.
Type 'b' or 'p' to move to the previous image in the list.
[...]
Type l to rotate the image anti-clockwise.
Type r to rotate the image clockwise.
Don't know what you mean by crop, though. Cutting a part of the image
and saving it under a new name?
That's not part of an image viewer, but rather of an image manipulation
program...
