However, that it doesn't depend on other packages, doesn't mean it has got less qt related dependencies, than gwenview I recommend running dpkg -L xnview | grep -i qt5 once it is installed and then to compare, if there really is a difference to installing gwenview, excepted that gwenview does use shared libraries and xnview doesn't share its libs installed to /opt.
