Hello,

WHAT WG is a new by-invitation-only W3C alternative
launched by Mozilla, Opera & Apple that excludes
Microsoft and is chartered to create new backward
compatible web standards that let you build web
applications using HTML, CSS, DOM and Javascript. See
the XUL News Wire story @
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.xul.announce/396
for more.

What's your take on it? Do you agree with Mozilla,
Opera and Apple that the W3C XHTML 1.0/2.0, SVG,
XForms, XEvents, X<Whatever> web standards have failed
and we need to get back to the basics, that is, HTML,
CSS, DOM and Javascript?

Do you favor evolution over revolution? Let us know
what you think.

   - Gerald
