right.
But blaming Linda Fellingham means blaming the wrong person for the 
wrong (non-)wrongdoings.
The same would be true for Alan Coopersmith and most others who are 
actually following/reading these lists.
It took myself some time to finally realize (and experience!) this.
Carefully study X11-discuss's archive and you will see what I mean: More 
openness is hardly possible.
Especially not under the original legal circumstances plus the limited 
resources (and employees). Hence some things need time, others money, 
most need both. But the good intention _is_ there (I can only judje for 
[Xorg vs. Xsun] vs. SPARCgraphics due to my concentrated focus over the 
last half year).
