While we're on the subject of the root weave - I noticed a while back that there was an option added to Xsun to allow you to set the colour of the root window at startup like Xorg can, but for some reason on Nevada and OpenSolaris the option is not used by default - you still get the root weave pattern.
Indiana would look a bit nicer if the screen changed to show a nice shade of blue when X starts to load instead of the root weave pattern. Also, it could do with with some larger mouse pointers loaded from as soon as X is visible on the screen, e.g. to replace the wristwatch busy cursor with a more familiar sandtimer.
