Use the "cvt" command to get modeline info. I was mentioning to you (and others) that you had to manually config your higher default resolution (and sometimes driver) setup in xorg.conf for certain LCD/digital monitors due to the a bug in Xserver 1.3 with certain open source device drivers.
The Nvidia closed source driver seems to override certain Xorg 1.3 libraries to resolve this issue. ~ Ken Mays -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
