My display is not configured correctly on Solaris either. The way I do it is to extract suitable modelines from the xorg.conf file supplied on Belenix, then create an xorg.conf file with these lines added, and a suitable "modes" line for the video modes I want to be supported, with the actual mode I want to be the default the highest listed mode. On one of my systems with an nVidia card I can only get 640x480 since my monitor doesn't support DDC version 2, only version 1.1 which is apparently not good enough for the driver.
