Is there a way to test the video capabilities of the card and monitor with XORG? With Xsun you could run fbconfig -prconf to get a list of the resolutions supported by the monitor and the graphics card. Is there an equivalent command for XORG?

It definitely used to work - but that was at least 2 motherboards ago. I booted Knoppix and ran ddcprobe and it failed to get EDID data. Under GPU 0 on the left, choose CRT-0. On the far right choose Acquire EDID... and save the file. If you can get a file saved with real data, I can provide instructions on how to get the driver to load this file and use the data with your current setup. _______________________________________________ xwin-discuss mailing list xwin-discuss at opensolaris.org
