I did a basic boot of a new U40 workstation with the Nvidia Quadro FX 5500 and
ran into the Xserver not starting under both Solaris 10u3 and SXCE b65 x86 in
64-bit mode. There was some mention of the Keyboard driver, but mainly it
recognize my graphics card. Well! Now the SXCE b65 part was when I just inserted
the install DVD and tried to get the installation screen to come up in
Interactive mode (select language screen). This happened when you select
'Solaris Developer Edition'.

I rebooted and selected 'Solaris Express' which kicked the install into 32-bit
mode. Amazingly, the SXCE b65 install screen recognized my graphics card and I
could install Solaris on the Ultra 40 workstation. Still installing....

A show stopper in installing Solaris Developer Edition on a U40 using this card
so far. I thought the Xorg NV 64-bit driver would kick in, but something was
amiss.

Will check once everything installs. I remember we had a fix for this
somewhere.
