correctly and you happen
to have a Nvidia graphics board like the Quadro FX
5500 you need to put
this in your xconf.info file as one of your Screen

I cannot think of a case where you want to to run a FX
5500 without
the external power connectors installed. When running
at full speed,
the board draws more power than can be supplied
through the motherboard
slot. Ultra 40 and Ultra 40 M2 come with the extra
power cables.

Thanks for that info. I used the Nvidia Quadro FX 3500
a few months ago in which I didn't have this issue. I
noticed the three power cables that came with U40M2
for the FX 5500 (why not factory installed?!?).
You bring up a point that I do need to ensure the
U40M2 workstation can handle (i.e. power supply) a
heavily-loaded configuration using either the Quadro
FX 5500 or 5600 video cards during stress testing.
