Hi Anton, I would suspect that the viscoelastic law fails in some margin cases or gives very high numbers. If you can find a ball which goes crazy (select with shift in the 3d view, it will appear in the body inspector where you can also see forces acting on that body), then you can save the simulation somewhere and by stepping through it and regarding all parameters in that interaction's geom & phys, you should get at the root of the problem. I did it a few times last week and it works very well. If I have time this afternoon, I will try myself.
