Could you elaborate your question? What/why is wrong?
If omega_c was the spin of the contact, then the relative spin of each
sphere would be (omega_1-omega_c) and (omega_2-omega_c)
Then the relative spin 2 wrt. 1:
(omega_2-omega_c) - (omega_1-omega_c)
Which gives obviously (omega_1-omega_2)
